David Wright (rib cage) may start taking grounders without throwing and taking light swings in the cage by the weekend. Wright is being brought along slowly after recently suffering some stiffness in the left side of his rib cage. Mets' manager Terry Collins said Tuesday that the stiffness has subsided, but the 29-year-old third baseman isn't expected to make his spring debut until at least next week. There's still plenty of time for him to get ready for the season, but the Mets don't want to risk the possibility of a setback.
