David Wright is scheduled to meet with a hand specialist Thursday at the Hospital for Special Surgery. The examination should provide the Mets with an answer as to whether Wright needs a disabled list stint. He was diagnosed Tuesday with a small fracture in the middle of his right pinkie finger and has been fitted with a protective splint. For what it's worth, Mets manager Terry Collins has been telling reporters that he expects the 29-year-old third baseman to be ready for action in a couple of days.
