David Wright (hamstring) could return to the Mets' lineup by the middle of next week. Wright ran the bases on Wednesday and will do it again Thursday before ramping up his activities over the weekend. If that goes well, it sounds like he could be activated for next week's series against the Giants. Wright has been sidelined since early August with a Grade 3 strain of his right hamstring.
