David Wright (finger) is in Saturday's lineup against the Phillies.
Josh Satin was placed on the Mets' 24-hour taxi squad, but it sounds like Wright will avoid a stint on the disabled list. His effectiveness coming back from injury, however, remains to be seen. An X-ray revealed a small fracture in Wright's pinkie finger earlier this week.
What's the point of having a 25 man roster if you keep trying to play guys that are hurt? Wright may be a little better than his replacement, but how much can the original player do if he's hurt and then you also risk further injury making him innefective longer. I played a lot of baseball and I couldn't swing very well when I jammed my pinkie and he a has a fracture. Just asking...
