David Aardsma blew a save chance Friday against the Royals. Aardsma was called on for the save with Bobby Parnell sidelined due to neck stiffness, but after inheriting a one-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, he proceeded to load the bases before giving up a game-tying sacrifice fly to Lorenzo Cain. The Mets eventually won the game in the 11th inning. Aardsma has been very solid since coming up from the minors, but he looked a little amped up for the chance at his first save since 2010. With Parnell potentially out for the entire weekend, he might get another opportunity soon.
