Darvish (elbow) is scheduled to undergo another examination Thursday, ESPNDallas.com reports. The Rangers understandably want to keep close tabs on Darvish's progress, but GM Jon Daniels said recently that even if the right-hander is cleared to begin a throwing program, it's probably not worth returning him to action this season. Darvish did not experience any issues with his arm in his last start Aug. 9, but the inflammation crept up shortly thereafter, leading to his placement on the 15-day DL. He could be a 60-day candidate if the decision is made to formally rule him out for the year.
