D'Arnaud's contract was selected by the Pirates on Tuesday. D'Arnaud will join the Pirates as a September call-up and will provide the infield and outfield with some extra depth. He won't take on an everyday role, but could receive some spot starts given his versatility and will likely contribute off the bench.
