Texas Rangers outfielder Danny Santana(elbow) will be out for the next seven to eight months following a major elbow surgery on Wednesday afternoon. It is similar to the Tommy John procedure, but with an artificial brace inserted as opposed to a human tendon. Either way, Santana will be on the shelf for a long time after failing to live up to his breakout 2019 season. He slashed .145/.238/.273 across 55 at-bats in 2020 and has a long rehab ahead of him.
