Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Orioles are interested in a trade for Phillies outfielder Juan Pierre.

Pierre wouldn't be eligible for the postseason roster, but he could help soften the blow of losing Nick Markakis. As of now, the Phillies aren't motivated to move him, possibly because they are playing better recently and still have an outside chance at the playoffs. Orioles manager Buck Showalter will likely mix and match with Lew Ford, Nate McLouth, Chris Davis and Xavier Avery in the corner outfield spots for now.
