Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that "most still believe" the Phillies will re-sign Jimmy Rollins "even though early negotiations did not go well." The two sides are scheduled to meet again Monday night. Rollins wants a five-year deal, something the Phillies are probably hesitant to hand out, but he seems unlikely to get five years from anyone else, either. Perhaps a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth year would be a fair compromise. Rollins is also drawing interest from the Brewers and Cardinals.
