The Kansas City Royals placed starting pitcher Danny Duffy (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday. It's an issue that dates back to the close of last season, and the left-hander might not return to the starting rotation until May. Duffy wasn't very good last year even when healthy, going 8-12 with a 4.88 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 141 strikeouts in 155 innings for the Royals.
