Danny Duffy (elbow) is on track to start next Wednesday in Detroit. Duffy had his Friday start skipped, but it appears his elbow is no longer bothering him and the team is just being extra cautious. "(Duffy) woke up (Thursday) morning, for the first time, and didn't feel anything," manager Ned Yost said. "So we're on the right track. He'll make his start in Detroit. It's gone now. He could pitch, but why? You don't want to baby him, but it's just crazy to push this." Everett Teaford will make a spot start in Duffy's place against the Twins.
