Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Daniel Gossett was placed on the 10-day DL Tuesday with a flexor muscle strain after undergoing an MRI on his right elbow. Backup catcher Josh Phegley was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move.
