Daniel Bard (thoracic outlet surgery) has been assigned to Low-A Hickory. Bard has been rehabbing from January thoracic outlet surgery and is finally ready to test things out in real games. The Rangers have been encouraged with how he's looked in extended spring training. "His velocity has been 94-97 mph, and in his last outing in Arizona he showed improved consistency with his command," pitching coordinator Danny Clark said. "We're excited to see him under the lights. We should no more after he gets 2-3 outings under his belt."
