Dan Uggla is batting just .133 (4-for-30) since returning from the disabled list. Uggla was hoping that undergoing LASIK surgery would help him out at the plate, but so far that hasn't been the case. He's been benched in favor of Elliot Johnson for three straight nights and his batting line for the season is down to an ugly .182/.311/.371. The second baseman isn't pleased with the benching. "We've got a 12-game lead," Uggla said. "I would have loved to use this time to try to get locked in for the playoffs and keep going in the direction I felt I was going. Obviously, (manager Fredi Gonzalez) felt different."
