Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com reports that the White Sox will call up Josh Phegley prior to Friday's game in Tampa. A former sandwich round pick, Phegley has been an offensive force at Triple-A Charlotte this season, batting .316/.368/.597 with 15 homers and 41 RBI. Hayes says that he will compete for playing time with Tyler Flowers, and with Flowers batting only .208 with eight homers and 22 RBI, there's a good chance Phegley will see plenty of playing time. He's certainly worth considering in two-catcher leagues.
