Daisuke Matsuzaka improved to 3-0, allowing one run over six innings as the Mets defeated the Brewers 6-2 on Tuesday. Matsuzaka rebounded from a mediocre start against the Cubs with a fine outing against the Brewers. The right-hander allowed only three hits, walked three, and struck out five. Overall, including his time in the bullpen, Matsuzaka has a 2.95 ERA with a 39/28 K/BB ratio in 39 2/3 innings. He'll face the lowly Padres at home in his next outing.
