After inking a minor-league deal with Texas over the winter, Dillard was expected to serve as a swingman at Triple-A Round Rock this season. The organization apparently had a change of heart, however, and Dillard will now hit the open market. Set to turn 38 years old in July, Dillard could opt for retirement if he doesn't find an offer to his liking.
