After being DFA'd by the Angels on Monday, Hicks will now enter the open market and attempt to latch on with another organization. The 34-year-old outfielder slashed .140/.222/.193 across 63 plate appearances with Los Angeles, though he figures to have little trouble securing at least a minor-league deal with a team in need of organizational depth.
