Cubs purchased the contract of RHP Kevin Gregg from Triple-A Iowa. Gregg was signed to a minor league contract just two days ago but is being rushed to the major leagues to assist the Cubs' battered bullpen. The 34-year-old seems unlikely to get save opportunities in Chicago, but anything can happen given the lack of talent in that 'pen.
