Cubs placed RHP Pedro Strop on the 15-day disabled list with a moderate left groin stain. Strop underwent an MRI on Wednesday and was diagnosed with the mild strain, which will likely sideline him for 3-4 weeks. The 28-year-old right-hander has posted a rough 4.97 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 12 2/3 innings this season. Maybe the rest will do him some good.
