Cubs manager Dale Sveum suggested that Carlos Marmol is unlikely to return to the closer role this season. "I hope not," Sveum said when asked if he thought there's a scenario where Marmol could be the closer again. With Kyuji Fujikawa out for the season, Marmol will remain in a setup role to Kevin Gregg . The 30-year-old right-hander has a 4.05 ERA in 22 relief appearances.
