Crow (elbow) was placed on the disabled list retroactive to March 29 on Sunday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Crow is facing season-ending Tommy John surgery, but this move will free up a roster spot in the short term for the Marlins. Look for the right-handed reliever to be moved to the 60-day DL to free up a spot on the 40-man roster once the need for surgery is confirmed.
