Crisp felt some soreness in his elbow during an intrasquad game Tuesday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. Although Crisp's activity was limited -- he only hit and did not play the field -- the elbow still presented issues. The 35-year-old admitted afterward that he doesn't know if he'll be available for Opening Day, but at this point, it seems rather unlikely. If a backdated DL stint is indeed necessary to start the year, it could open the door for Craig Gentry or perhaps Billy Burns to see additional opportunities.
