Crisp (elbow) surprisingly took the field for a workout Thursday afternoon, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Crisp was expected to get the day off, but he may be progressing a bit faster than previously anticipated. He still hopes to be ready by Opening Day, after getting a cortisone shot Tuesday.
