Craig Kimbrel has been named as a replacement to the NL All-Star team. He replaces Matt Cain, who pitched on Sunday, on the roster. The announcement was probably a week late, but we doubt Kimbrel will mind. Kimbrel set a rookie record for saves prior to the All-Star break by notching 28. He posted a 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 70/18 K/BB rate over 46 innings in a largely dominant first half. Kimbrel hasn't allowed a run since June 11 and has corrected his early-season control issues.
