Contrary to a previous report, McCann (toe) will not need X-rays, but he has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports.

McCann apparently had a fluoroscope test in his left foot that was negative, and the team is comfortable with those results, showing the injury was just a bruise. For now it sounds like McCann is day-to-day (with the understanding he won't play Wednesday). Andrew Romine will start at catcher Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
