Soto's contract was purchased by the Twins on Monday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Soto's only big-league experience was a three-game stint for the Angels back in 2020. The 32-year-old has spent this year with Triple-A St. Paul, where he's struggled to a .213/.327/.331 slash line and homered just twice in 41 games. He'll give the Twins an extra glove in the middle infield but is unlikely to help much with his bat.
