Osich joined the Reds on a minor-league deal over the offseason. The veteran lefty will earn another big-league opportunity despite posting a mediocre 5.40 ERA in 15 innings for Triple-A Louisville. He's thrown 206.1 career innings at the major-league level but hasn't done much of note, posting a career 5.02 ERA overall and a 5.67 ERA over the last four years. Ashton Goudeau was optioned in a corresponding move.
