Conley didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Braves, after throwing 90 pitches in less than five frames. He surrendered eight hits, two earned runs and a walk over 4.2 innings, striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old came nowhere close to the seven free passes he issued against the Nationals in his last start, but still sported an elevated pitch count that played a part in his relatively early hook. He continued to be highly stingy with the long ball, with Friday's effort marking the sixth consecutive game in which Conley didn't surrender a homer. He'll try to put in a longer stint in his next trip to the mound next Wednesday versus the Pirates.
