Conforto will be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to Monday's series opener in Chicago, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto owns a 1.043 OPS since his original demotion, and has capped off a solid stretch with back-to-back multi-hit games, bringing his Triple-A batting average up to .344. Some of those numbers may be a bit inflated due to the hitter-friendly nature of the Las Vegas ballpark, but it is worth noting that seven of those 16 games in the minors have been on the road. In any case, he should be back to seeing semi-regular starts in left field for the Mets in short order. Manager Terry Collins could choose to limit his playing time by utilizing Juan Lagares in center and Yoenis Cespedes in right, but he may also elect to employ the outfield he's most comfortable with, as the Conforto/Cespedes/Granderson combination has started 38 games for the Mets in 2016.
