Colome earned his 35th save in Thursday's 2-0 victory over the Yankees with 1.1 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball. He also uncorked a wild pitch.
EDGE Analysis
Although he didn't record any strikeouts, Colome needed only an efficient 12 pitches to dispose of Didi Gregorius, Ronaldo Torreyes, Brett Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury. That stretch also included the leadoff single he surrendered to Aaron Hicks in the ninth, and his wild pitch that moved Hicks over to third with two out. However, Colome bore down to get Ellsbury to line out to center, ending the game. The 27-year-old closer has now rattled off seven straight scoreless efforts, notching saves in all of those appearances.
