Colabello was designated for assignment on Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports. Colabello was a casualty of the Blue Jays' trade earlier on Wednesday to acquire Jayson Aquino as it left the team with too many on the 40-man roster. The 31-year-old was claimed off waivers by Toronto in December after posting a line of .229/.282/.380 in limited action with the Twins in 2014.
