Closing with John Axford in need of a rest, Francisco Rodriguez blew a two-run lead by giving up three runs and four hits in the ninth inning against the Cubs on Thursday. It seems highly unlikely that Rodriguez will land a closing gig this winter with the way he's pitched the last couple of months. He only got the chance to pitch the ninth today because Axford worked the previous two days.
