Clippard worked around two walks to pitch a scoreless ninth on Tuesday for his 16th save. Clippard struggled with his control, allowing two walks and then going 3-0 to Mark Teixeira, but managed to find a way to get it done. After a slow April where Clippard only had one save, he has become a solid fantasy option and has only blown two saves all year. He will continue to close games for the A's unless he is dealt at the trade deadline (which has been rumored) and in that case, his fantasy value will be determined on what role he has with his new team.
