Clayton Richard (shoulder) is expected to be placed on the disabled list. Richard was removed his start Friday after just two pitches with pain in his left AC joint. The injury is to the same shoulder he had surgery on in 2011. Burch Smith, Tyson Ross, and Robbie Erlin are candidates to replace him in the starting rotation.
