Clayton Richard limited the Red Sox to one run over five innings to earn a win in a rain-shortened game Wednesday. The game was delayed four times before finally being called with the Padres up 5-1 in the eighth. Richard allowed eight hits and walked two in his five innings, but he managed to escape from jams by getting a bases-loaded double-play ball in the first and by picking Mike Cameron off first in the fifth. He remains a pretty shaky play at the moment.
