The Mets claimed Santos off waivers from the Rockies on Wednesday.

Santos made seven major-league appearances with the Rockies last season and posted a 4.76 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 11.1 innings. The 25-year-old also struggled at Triple-A Albuquerque and was waived by the Rockies as a result. However, he'll now land on the Mets' 40-man roster and should compete for a roster spot during spring training in 2022.
