The Astros claimed Wilson off waivers Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old minor-league journeyman reached the majors for the first time in early July, appearing in six games for Oakland while going 1-for-7 at the plate before he was designated for assignment. Though Wilson will reclaim a 40-man roster spot and he joins Houston, he'll begin his tenure in the new organization at Triple-A Sugar Land. He could be the next man up for a promotion if Houston requires an extra infielder at any point over the final two months of the season.
