The right-hander was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Thursday, and it's not a surprise he was claimed off waivers given his previous success in the majors. Diaz has struggled to a 7.80 ERA in 15 outings in the big leagues with the Dodgers and Reds this season, and he hasn't been much better at Triple-A with a 6.08 ERA.
