C.J. Wilson was hammered again in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Thursday, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over his five frames. Wilson did manage to rack up six strikeouts while failing to issue a walk in the rough outing. The Red Sox struck for one in the first inning, then added five more in the second, highlighted by a three-run homer off the bat of Dustin Pedroia. Wilson was able to settle in after that, allowing just a Cody Ross RBI single over the next three frames to somewhat mitigate the disastrous start. He's now allowed 13 earned runs over his last two starts, raising his ERA from 3.32 to 3.83 in the process. While there is no indication of any underlying physical ailment contributing to his recent struggles, fantasy owners may want to sit him down and avoid the ratio risk until he demonstrates the ability to turn things around. He'll attempt to do just that when he battles these same Red Sox at home on Wednesday.
