C.J. Wilson was blasted by his former squad on Thursday, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits over 5 1/3 innings of work against the Rangers.
Wilson punched out seven and walked three in the game. Ian Kinsler started the madness with a solo shot leading off the first inning. Kinsler then delivered one of three Rangers RBI singles in the second inning, pushing five more runs across. After the Angels offense battled back to take a 7-6 lead, Wilson allowed a solo homer to Nelson Cruz in the fourth inning, and an RBI double to Elvis Andrus in the sixth before being removed. Still, he's having a very nice season and will take a 9-7 record, 3.27 ERA and 122/63 K/BB ratio into Tuesday's start against the Athletics in Oakland.
