C.J. Wilson struggled in a losing effort against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits in his five innings of work.
The veteran southpaw walked three and struck out four on the afternoon. The big blow in the game that proved to be the difference was a two-run homer off the bat of Nick Castellanos in the second inning that got the Tigers on the board. He'll carry a 4.21 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 28/9 K/BB ratio into Friday's start against the Yankees in New York.
