Cishek (left hip) could come off the disabled list when the Mariners come off the road and return home Aug. 19, the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cishek is progressing quickly after being diagnosed with a partial tear in the labrum in his hip . He received a cortisone shot a week ago and threw a bullpen session Thursday. He'll throw one more and then likely begin a rehab assignment. "He said it's the best he's felt with the lower half in a long time," manager Scott Servais said. Cishek will pitch in a set-up role for new closer Edwin Diaz when he returns.
