Cishek (hip) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

The Mariners made a number of roster moves Friday to get the number in camp down to 25, so the placement of Cishek on the DL is more of a formality than anything else. Cishek is making his way back from hip surgery and could be on pace for a return from the disabled list as soon as mid-April. That said, Cishek will likely need to log a few more bullpen sessions with his full arsenal of pitches before the Mariners deem him ready for game action.
