Cishek (hip) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, his third since undergoing surgery, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Cishek mixed in sliders for the first time and says he hopes to face hitters after another bullpen session in the near future. The right-hander will likely need a minor league rehab stint once the season begins, but he should back in the Mariners' bullpen by the end of April or early May. Regardless, Cishek has looked good while building back his arm strength this spring, so he's well on the road to recovery at this point.
