Cishek (hip) is set for a rehab appearance Thursday and could rejoin the club as soon as next week, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Manager Scott Servais said that the Mariners plan on having Cishek make one more rehab appearance over the weekend before making making the next decision. The Mariners are beginning a seven-game home stand Monday, so the hope is that Cishek will be able to come off the DL during that stretch. Cishek will likely fill a seventh or eighth inning role upon his return.
