Cishek (biceps) threw a perfect frame against the A's on Thursday. "It felt good," he told MLB.com. "The ball was coming out nice and easy and smooth down the mound. I thought it went really well. I didn't know if I'd be rusty or not going out there, but it was like 100 degrees in the bullpen so it wasn't tough to get loose. I threw a couple pitches and was ready to go."
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander breezed through the inning, striking out Khris Davis and getting Billy Butler and Yonder Alonso to ground out in short order. Cishek missed more than a week with soreness in his biceps, but expects to pitch regularly over the remainder of spring training. He will look to remain in the closer role with Seattle longer than the five weeks or so he was in the role with Miami last season.
