Chris Volstad has elected free agency. Volstad was pounded for 10 runs over 8 1/3 innings at the big league level this year and didn't pitch well at Triple-A, either, holding a 4.58 mark across 127 2/3 frames. He'll be in search for a non-roster invite to spring training.
