Chris Tillman allowed just a single run over six innings of work but took the loss against the Red Sox on Tuesday. Tillman dealt with two rain delays, and the right-hander danced through the raindrops himself, working out of trouble all evening. The Red Sox twice loaded the bases with nothing to show for it, including once with nobody out, and at least one runner reached base in each of the first four innings. In all, Tillman gave up seven hits and three walks, striking out three. The loss was his first since May 11, but he carries a subpar 4.91 ERA and 1.52 WHIP into a tough matchup with the Blue Jays on Sunday.
